Art Basel Basel 2026: Unlimited sector

15 - 21 June 2026
Overview
Voloshyn Gallery is pleased to announce its participation in Art Basel Basel 2026 in the Unlimited Sector, presenting the solo show by Nikita Kadan.
Taking place at Messe Basel from June 18 to 21, 2026, with Preview Days on June 16 and 17.

The Unlimited Sector is one of the fair's most anticipated highlights, dedicated to large-scale works that go beyond the traditional art fair booth format. It is a unique stage for monumental installations, expansive sculptures, immersive video art, and performances.

The 2026 edition is curated by Ruba Katrib, Chief Curator and Director of Curatorial Affairs at MoMA PS1, New York. Known for her rigorous curatorial practice and commitment to ambitious new production, Katrib brings a renewed vision to the sector — one defined by intellectual depth, spatial sensitivity, and a forward-looking engagement with contemporary artistic practice.

Nikita Kadan (born 1982, Kyiv) is one of the most prominent figures of the contemporary Ukrainian art scene, whose practice — spanning installation, painting, drawing, and sculpture — critically engages with post-communist social and political developments. His work has been presented in major institutional contexts internationally, including MUMOK Vienna, Castello di Rivoli, PinchukArtCentre, and the National Art Museum of Ukraine.
