Mykola Zhuravel is an artist who gives art more depth and moves the viewer into another dimension. In his works, he tries to bring to the consciousness the information, the vision of the world, everything that a person does not notice, loses for oneself while "drowning" in everyday life. The dominant feature of his art is the ability to instantly select from the husk of moments what is important, something that is impossible to tell and visualize and what can only be experienced. When you see his art - graphics, drawing, sketching, painting, or gesso hard surface - you see the manifestation of some extraordinary human ability to be primarily a spiritual being, and then you realize that it is the way these rare manifestations of real art should look like.
The artist was born in 1960 in Magnitogorsk, Russia. In 1979 he graduated from the Crimean Art College named after N. Samokisha, Simferopol, and in 1989 the Kyiv State Art Institute. Since 1995 he has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1996 - a member of the art association BG-ART, Ukraine. In 2009 he was granted the title of academician of the Academy of Contemporary Art of Rome, Italy. Nominated for the Shevchenko Prize, Kyiv (2011).
Mykola Zhuravel currently lives and works in Kiev, Ukraine.
