Grammar. Fix.

20 December 2019 - 16 February 2020 Kyiv
Overview

Voloshyn Gallery is proud to present Ivan Svitlychnyi’s solo show Grammar. Fix.

The artist acknowledges that humankind is currently facing unforeseen challenges, and addresses the following questions: what will define the status of an artwork and constitute the new visuality in the future? How will we see our environment? What will the new priorities be? The artist intends to answer these questions through a series of projects that will be summed up in a performance.

Grammar.Fix. installation is an intermediary stage of this series and an organic continuation of his project Script, presented in PinchukArtCentre in 2018. In Script, the artist focused on data collection for the script for a future performance, whereas Grammar.Fix. processes this data. Focusing on distinguishing parts of the visual language, Grammar.Fix. installation uses graphic art and new media, including light, sound and video.

Created in 2019, the project hasn’t been exhibited previously.
