Overview
Pavlo Kerestey (born 1962) is a Ukrainian painter, video and photo artist, author of installations, performances, theoretical texts, curator. Born in Uzhgorod. Graduated from the Lviv State Institute of Applied Arts (1984). Pavlo Keresteyemerged from the Paris Commune in Kiev and represented the Ukrainian New Waveas a prolific painter. Based in Reading and Munich he is now workingmultidisciplinary in painting, video and performance often in collaborationwith Susanne Clausen, under the name of Szuper Gallery.
Pavlo Kerestey has been featured in solo and group exhibitions, including Les Facettes De La Liberté, from the Collection of Borys and Tetiana Hrynyov, Centre Culturel d'Ukraine en France, Paris (FR, 2023); Unfolding Landscapes, Art & History Museum, Brussels (BE, 2022); She Asked I Followed.
