Kostiantyn-Vadym Ihnatov 1934-2016
Konstantin-Vadim Ignatov (1934–2016) – Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. Born in Kharkiv. He studied at an art school in Kyiv, then at the Kyiv State Art Institute under the tutelage of K. Zaruba. During the Soviet era, he had a reputation as a gifted illustrator and worked at the Veselka publishing house for about 30 years, where he illustrated over 100 books. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Solo exhibitions were held in Moscow (1977, 1992), Kyiv (1998, 2004–2012), the United States, Poland, Greece, and other countries. His works are held in the collections of the National Art Museum of Ukraine (Kyiv), the Museum of Modern Art of Ukraine (Kyiv), and in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Canada, the United States, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, and France.
